April is National Poetry Month, and WordPlay is celebrating with Ukrainian-American poet Nicole Yurcaba on Saturday, April 4, at 2:00PM. Nicole will read selections from her poetry collections, including The Pale Goth and her recent chapbook, Have Your Eyes. A poetic love letter to Andros Island, Greece, Have Your Eyes is a love-letter-in-verse fusing Greek philosophy, Greek mythology, and experimental visual poetry structures to create a journey into one of the Aegean Sea’s most captivating islands.
Nicole Yurcaba (Нікола Юрцаба) is a Ukrainian American of Hutsul/Lemko origin, currently residing in Hardy County, West Virginia. Her poems and reviews have appeared in Appalachian Heritage, Atlanta Review, Poetry Ireland Review, The Belfast Review, Abridged, Seneca Review, New Eastern Europe, Euromaidan Press, Chytomo, and The New Voice of Ukraine.
