“We had a good week and played good competition to get us ready to be successful. Our defense has been good all week and our pitching has been good all week. We have a lot of things to be grateful for and it is a good feeling. It was good to see us have a lot of good at-bats and for our guys building more confidence. They are knowing about game situations and when they need to move on the bases. Cyrus [Kump] had great concentration all night for us,” Moorefield coach Wade Armentrout commented.

My biggest goal is to win a bunch of games, obviously and that’s a given. We just need to get our bats going more. We are winning right now and starting off pretty good, but not as good as we can be. We need to keep improving as we move forward and get out of our slumps. [Faith] It really carries us and gives us something to count on. God is always there for us and we rely on Him,” Moorefield senior Oliver Crites remarked.

One special game day routine for Crites is getting a meat stick from Sheetz before every game which might be giving him the extra boost for those epic leaps as a catcher.
