The Yellow Jackets have a plethora of weapons to attack the net and have quick reflexes on defense to give Moorefield Volleyball a path to success leading to Charleston.
Moorefield Volleyball head coach Kellan Snyder is stoked about the energy the team brings to each practice and the matches which will translate into positive outcomes.
The good vibes could be seen on the court in the five-set season opener thriller over Elkins with plenty of cheers and communication as the enthusiasm flowed from start to finish.
Snyder returns to the helm along with assistant coach Megan Phares, who will take charge of the junior varsity matches.
“We played like a team and every adversity that came in each set against Elkins. I am proud of how my team rallied around each other and encouraged each other to battle to the end. These girls have fun playing volleyball and it allows me to have fun with them. I love this game and love being the coach. I love their enthusiasm and joy for the game. I am most excited fro them to have fun and get better each day. We have some big tournaments this season and hope those environments help us. We have a great group of hitters on this team and I could really put six hitters on the floor at the same time if I wanted to. Defensively, Aubrey Kidwell has been playing sensationally all over the court. Elkins didn’t want to hit to her, but they couldn’t find a way not to with her flying all around. The energy of the team is awesome. We have the faith in the man upstairs to give us strength and guidance this year. Our team prays before each match and have a true conversation with God,” Moorefield Volleyball coach Kellan Snyder commented.
The Yellow Jackets have a strong group of seniors, but the entire team has been showing charisma and determination.
Moorefield Volleyball seniors are:
Annie Barr, Aryana Hinz, Aubrey Kidwell, Brenna See, Lexi VanMeter
and Jocelyn Wagner.
The juniors are
Emmy Crites and
Payton Lytle.
The sophomore class consists of
Chloe Champ , Anniston Kite, Sophia Pillus, Ella Poling and
Gracyn Williams.
The Yellow Jackets freshmen crew will be Summer Heavner , Harper Hunt, Anna Koontz, Ally Landes, Bella Linville , Sophia Luna-Davy and Madelynn Vetter.
Coach Snyder noted he could place six hitters on the court at once, if so desired with a deep and dynamic bench filled with net minding presence.
The Yellow Jackets were frequent flyers at the net against the Tigers as the hammering came from Barr, See, VanMeter, Wagner and Lytle for the most part of the series.
Crites, Hinz and Kidwell proved to be a formidable back row with digs galore.
The Yellow Jackets look to buzz throughout the season with positive vibes moving onward and upward to achieve their goals.
