Moorefield High School Football second year head coach Eric Linville is excited about the future of the Yellow Jackets and knows his team has been working hard and believing in the mission this year with standards firmly planted for growth.
“We are changing the standard this year. Last year we talked about building the culture and joked doubt it now. We have high expectations on the field and off the field. It will take a little time, but we will figure it out. We just have to get them to buy into it. It comes down to parenting. We have a good group of parents and good kids this year. Being able to take criticism and take correction is for their well being in playing the game. The standard is to have this locker room spic and span. We have to keep each other accountable. We understand this is for a common goal. These guys are always together wherever they go. I am always added about the team, but I don’t feel we have a tea, but more of a family. This is a family and It started last year. These guys have tremendous character and are tight knit and prey before each game. The Moorefield Fellowship of Christian Athletes will have a breakfast for the Fallk teams and have been a blessing for these kids. Leadership is huge, but they don’t put themselves over others. They encourage each other and help each other across the board, They are unselfish and compete everyday. This is a fun group of guys” Moorefield Football coach Eric Linville commented.
Coach Linville will be joined by assistant coaches Paul See, Jared Wratchford, Andrew Kinkead, Ethan Judy, Jacob Metheny (trainer) and Gavin Wolfe.
