The Community Baby Shower in Wardensville will take place on Saturday, June 24, 2:00-4:00 p.m.at the War Memorial Building! Mothers who are currently expecting a child and families with a baby younger than one-year-old are most welcome to come. Each family may choose from an array of gift items including clothes, blankets, diapers and wipes, books, toys, toiletries, and more. Each family will also be invited to choose one larger gift such as a car seat, high chair, stroller, or other similar items. Mothers will receive a special gift bag of goodies just for Moms. Siblings will get to choose a gift that they like! There will be yummy refreshments and a chance for visiting.
Just imagine all the things that a baby needs right from the first day! The Community Baby Shower aims to help with those needs, to help every nursery be stocked and ready, cozy and inviting.
Capon Valley Neighbor to Neighbor sponsors this event and is very grateful for the outpouring of support from community people, businesses, and churches. We are happily accepting donations of new baby items and cash. Cash donations are used to purchase additional things that may be needed for the shower. Many kind folks generously give so that new baby neighbors are welcomed with lots of love and many of the things they need to get them started.
