The Humane Society of Hardy County is hosting at the public library on Thursday evening June 18th at 6:00 concerning feral cat colonies in the town of Moorefield. The town council has committed $10,000 to HSHC to sterilize feral cats. The meeting will include identifying locations of colonies within town limits, recruiting volunteers to trap the cats and transport them to veterinarians on specific dates. Once spayed and neutered, the cats will be returned to their habitat. Anyone who knows of colonies or wants to help trap and transport, please attend this meeting. Please call 304-490-9675 or send an email to hshcwv24@gmail.com if there are questions.
