Gloria Jean Hughes, age 69 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2026, at her home. Born on August 11, 1956, in Winchester, VA, she was the cherished daughter of the late George Albert Hinkle and Betty Jean Hedrick Hinkle. Her husband whom she married in August 1980, James Robert Hughes, preceded her in death in November 2023.
Gloria was a proud graduate of Moorefield High School’s Class of 1974. She dedicated over three decades of her life to serving the community as an employee of the USDA Farm Service Agency, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of many.
