MOOREFIELD, WV — Live music continues to energize downtown Moorefield as McCoy’s Grand Theatre & Museum welcomes West Virginia country artist Joe Crites to the stage on Saturday, March 21, 2026, as part of the popular Music at McCoy’s Series. The evening will also feature a special opening performance by rising young musician Jakob Rohrbaugh.
The concert begins at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m., offering audiences a night of authentic country music and Appalachian storytelling in the heart of Moorefield.
Joe Crites has emerged as one of the region’s most compelling country voices, blending the grit of modern country with the soul of Appalachian roots music. Raised in a small West Virginia town, Crites first discovered music performing with friends and family before refining his craft at the Atlanta Institute of Music. Eventually returning to his home state, he set out to build a career grounded in authenticity and connection.
After leaving a career in law enforcement to pursue music full time, Crites has become known for songs that reflect real life—exploring themes of legacy, faith, family, and hope for the next generation. His performances have earned him a loyal following at regional festivals, historic venues, and intimate listening rooms throughout Appalachia.
Whether backed by a full band or standing alone with an acoustic guitar, Crites delivers powerful, heartfelt performances that resonate deeply with audiences.
Opening the evening is Jakob Rohrbaugh, a talented high school freshman whose passion for guitar and classic country music is already gaining attention locally. Jakob is an active member of FFA, performs regularly on his church’s worship team, and began his musical journey through stage roles at a community theater in his hometown.
Music runs deep in Jakob’s family, and he proudly follows in the footsteps of both his father and great-grandfather as a guitarist and performer. His opening set promises to showcase a young artist with both talent and heart.
Tickets for all Music at McCoy’s concerts are $15 per show. McCoy’s Grand Theatre is located at 121 North Main Street in Moorefield. Tickets and additional information are available at www.mcoysgrand.org.
