MOOREFIELD, W.Va. (September 29, 2025): All Hardy County K-12 students will receive free admission to the 2025 Hardy Bowl high school football game between East Hardy and Moorefield, thanks to Hardy Telecommunications and Capon Valley Bank.
Continuing a sponsorship that dates back many years, Hardy Telecommunications and Capon Valley Bank are teaming up to pay for student tickets for the October 17 game at East Hardy High. All Hardy County students in grades K-12 will receive free admission at the gate. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
“Capon Valley Bank first proposed our teaming up to pay for student admissions to the Hardy Bowl,” said Derek Barr, Assistant General Manager/Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer for Hardy Telecommunications. “We’ve continued it now for several years. We appreciate the cooperation of the Moorefield and East Hardy athletic departments and administrators in helping us to do this for students.”
Capon Valley Bank Assistant Vice President for Loans Kris Kerr said the sponsorship is a way to support the game and all Hardy County students.
“No game brings out the fans more than an old-fashioned rivalry. This annual game between our two Hardy County high schools is a tradition. We wish good luck to both teams and their fans, and we hope all students come out to support everyone – the players, bands, cheerleaders, volunteers, and more – who work to provide the Hardy Bowl to our community,” he said.
Barr said the free admission is available for all K-12 students in Hardy County. Hardy Telecommunications and Capon Valley Bank are both business partners with East Hardy High School, but the Hardy Bowl sponsorship is a countywide student benefit, he said.
