The Rev. Ted Osgood, who was the pastor of the Duffey Memorial and Bass United Methodist Churches from 1996 to 2002, will be preaching at Duffey Memorial on Sunday, October 18 , at 11 a.m. Ted retired from full-time pastoral ministry in 2002, but after his official retirement he worked as a chaplain for Pilgrim’s Pride, and then he pastored churches elsewhere in West Virginia (officially part-time, but if you know Ted you know that he did more than was expected of him).
Ted currently lives in the Parkersburg area. During Ted’s time at Duffey Memorial, his wife Sandy was the choir director at Duffey Memorial.
Duffey Memorial left the United Methodist denomination in 2024 and became part of the Global Methodist Church earlier this year. The Global Methodist Church is a new Methodist denomination which upholds the biblical beliefs which Methodists espoused in former years.
Duffey Memorial is located at 100 North Elm Street, just a block from the stoplight in the heart of Moorefield. For more information, call Duffey Memorial at 304-538-2024.
