Grant Memorial Hospital’s inaugural Night of Healthcare Excellence fundraiser brought nearly 200 community members together and raised more than $46,000 to support the expansion of healthcare services through the development of a new Specialty & Telemedicine Clinic.
The evening opened with remarks from Allen Collins of Pilgrim’s Fresh Plant, the event’s Signature Sponsor. Other leading sponsors included Pendleton Community Bank, Dominion Energy, Burke & Herbert Bank, WVU Medicine East, Grant Memorial Hospital Trust Foundation, Highlands Bank, A.L.L. Construction Group, Pilgrim’s Moorefield Prepared Foods, and Schaeffer Funeral Home. Friends of the Hospital contributors included L&W Enterprises, Inc., Old Dominion Realty, and Heritage Hearing Aid Center.
Held at the beautiful Misty Mountain Event Barn, the event featured the exceptional catering skills of Matt & Cathy Kile, a live auction conducted by Terry Rudolph of Oak Summit, and entertainment by Caroline & The Evergreens and Joe Crites & Colton Watts. Country Charm Photography was also on hand to capture the special moments of the evening.
Interim President & CEO Felicity Ours highlighted the remarkable growth and progress of Grant Memorial Hospital over the past three years, including the addition of six new clinics, 44 new full-time positions in the community, new providers, and advanced technology. Tammy Kesner also shared remarks on behalf of the Grant Memorial Hospital Trust Foundation.
Proceeds from the event will support the development of a Specialty & Telemedicine Clinic, creating a dedicated space where patients can consult virtually with specialists or meet with visiting specialists without the need for lengthy travel outside the region. The clinic will improve access to specialty care, enhance patient outcomes, and strengthen healthcare services throughout the Potomac Highlands.
During the event, GMH also unveiled plans for a new 14,000-square-foot Outpatient Healthcare Complex. The facility will bring together Rapid Care, Pediatrics, Primary Care, and Women’s Health, while also providing convenient walk-in Radiology and Laboratory Services.
