MOOREFIELD, W. Va. — Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College bids a fond farewell to Seyed Mirkhani, Division Chair for Business, Computer, and Information Technology, as he retires following 22 years of dedicated service.
Throughout his tenure at Eastern, Mirkhani has guided countless students toward achieving their educational and career goals. Beyond the classroom, he has been deeply committed to Eastern’s mission by coordinating internship opportunities, offering individual tutoring, presenting on key business topics, and serving the local community.
For years, he has spearheaded student and staff participation in college and community events. He has also given his time to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, helping low-income taxpayers prepare their income tax returns.
Previous recognitions and achievements of Seyed Mirkhani:
VITA Tax Preparation — Mirkhani and the VITA Tax Team received the Eastern Panhandle EITC Coalition Site of the Year for 2023 for preparing the most Veteran tax returns from seven sites.
Former Accounting & Business Management Graduate from Eastern — “I will give props to Seyed [Mirkhani], my advisor. Taking as many business-related classes as I did, I saw Seyed numerous times. Seyed worked with my schedule, and he was very knowledgeable of his job.”
