The Hardy County Chamber of Commerce is excited to an-nounce that more than 50 busi-nesses and organizations have signed up to participate in our Passport Program, which offi-cially begins on July 1.
Participating locations will have passports available for visitors. Simply stop by a par-ticipating business, complete their designated activity (no purchase is necessary), and receive a sticker for your pass-port. As you visit businesses throughout Hardy County and collect stickers, you’ll fill your passport while discovering the many great businesses, orga-nizations, and attractions our community has to offer.
Once your passport is com-plete, you can return it to any participating location. In Janu-ary, we will hold a drawing for cash prizes and other exciting giveaways. Be sure to keep an eye out for passports as you vis-it businesses throughout Hardy County this summer and fall.
We would also like to invite everyone to attend our Cham-ber After-Hours events. These gatherings typically last about two hours, but there is no ex-pectation that you stay the en-tire time.
Feel free to stop by for a few minutes, enjoy a drink, grab a bite to eat, and spend some time connecting with others in the community.
One of the greatest benefits of attending an After-Hours event is the opportunity to build re-lationships. You may reconnect with someone you haven’t seen in years, meet a potential cus-tomer, discover a new business resource, or make a connection that helps your business grow.
You never know where a sim-ple conversation may lead.
Best of all, our After-Hours events are open to everyone. Chamber membership is not required to attend, although we would certainly love to wel-come you as a member. Our next After-Hours event will be hosted by Weimer Ford on June 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Chamber is also explor- ing opportunities to bring ad- ditional events to the commu- nity this summer. As always, we are looking forward to our Annual Gala this fall, where we will celebrate the accomplish-ments of our members, recog-nize outstanding businesses and individuals, and reflect on the successes and growth of the past year.
If you have been reading the Buzz, you may have noticed that the Chamber has added several new members over the past few months. It has been exciting to watch our member-ship grow and see new faces become involved in our busi-ness community. I would love the opportunity to send out a future Buzz welcoming you or your business as one of our newest Chamber members.
Finally, I would love to hear from you. If you are a Chamber member and have ideas about how the Chamber can better serve our business community, please reach out. If you are not currently a member but would like to learn more about the benefits of Chamber member-ship, I would be happy to have that conversation as well.
As always, thank you for supporting the Hardy County Chamber of Commerce and the businesses that make our com-munity strong.
