James Brent Shipe, 20, of Fulks Run, VA passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Mathias, WV.
Born on April 26, 2005 in Harrisonburg, VA, he was the son of Jimmy Shipe and Maggie (Craven) Short.
He was a graduate of East Hardy High School and enjoyed football, wrestling and body building.
He is survived by his father, Jimmy Shipe and wife Kaleena of Romney, WV, mother, Maggie Short of Fulks Run, VA, siblings, William Short of Fulks Run, Josey Short, Jane Short, both of Broadway, VA, Camden Shipe, Gage McDermott, Garret McDermott, all of Romney, WV, his grandparents, Rhonda Craven of Fulks Run, VA, Susan Short and William Short of Broadway, VA and Donna Mae Shipe of Timberville, VA. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Milly Mae.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Randolph Craven and James Edward Shipe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. at McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV with Roger Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until time of service. Inurnment will be in the Shipe-Whetzel family cemetery.
