KEYSER, WV — The Potomac State College Catamounts are set to open the 2026 baseball season on Saturday, February 21, when they host Bergen Community College in a home doubleheader at Golden Park. The opener marks the first of 15 home dates on the spring slate as Head Coach Doug Little’s squad prepares for another run at the NJCAA Region XX Tournament.

“We are extremely excited and looking forward to the 2026 season,” said Head Coach Doug Little. “Our players are committed to a high level of accountability—on the field, in the classroom and as representatives of Potomac State College. Our guys have worked hard this fall, and we are looking forward to getting back on the field.”

Season Highlights:

  • Opening Day: Feb. 21 vs. Bergen Community College (DH, 1 p.m.) at Golden Park

  • Total Home Games: 28 (including two in February 15 in March and 11 in April)

  • Region XX Showdowns: Cecil College, Harford Community College (MD), CCBC Catonsville, and Allegany College of Maryland

  • Key Road Tests: Louisburg College (NC), Wake Technical Community College (NC), and Harford Community College (MD)

  • Postseason: Region XX Tournament – May 1–3 in Bel Air, MD; Eastern District Finals – May 8–10 (TBA); NJCAA JUCO World Series – May 25–31 in Grand Junction, CO

Golden Park Homestands
Catamount fans can look forward to several extended homestands at Golden Park throughout the 2026 campaign.

  • The first big home stretch arrives in mid-March, when Potomac State hosts Corning (Mar. 14), Allegany (Mar. 15), Seton Hill (Mar. 17), Cecil College (Mar. 18), and Lakeland (Mar. 21–22) — a six-game run that will bring nearly two weeks of continuous home baseball to Keyser.

  • Another major homestand comes in early April, featuring Harford (Apr. 3), Shenandoah (Apr. 4), and Hagerstown (Apr. 8).

  • The final home stand of the regular season will be with Monroe College who visits for back-to-back doubleheaders on April 24–25, closing out Golden Park’s regular-season.
