It’s hard to believe that I’ve already been serving as the Executive Director of the Hardy County Chamber of Commerce for three and a half months. In that time, I’ve learned so much about “chamber life” and I’ve had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people, both new faces and familiar ones.
I’ve especially enjoyed attending ribbon cuttings and after-hours events, visiting our members, and hearing their feedback both the positive and the constructive. Those conversations remind me that our members truly care about this organization and our community. Their insight helps guide the Chamber’s direction and inspires the work we do every day.
Seeing new membership applications come through my inbox never fails to brighten my day.
Each one represents a new connection, a new story, and a new opportunity to grow together. My hope is that my enthusiasm for engagement spreads that members become more active and that non-members see the value in joining our Chamber family.
If I haven’t had the chance to visit your business yet, please know that I plan to. However, if there’s a better time for me to stop by, I’d love to hear from you. And if you’ve been considering Chamber membership but have questions or just aren’t quite sure, let’s sit down and chat. My inbox is always open, and my phone is always on.
Right now, the Chamber is also seeking members who are interested in serving on one of our committees:
Member and Community Engagement Committee, Events and Marketing Committee, Legislative and Economic Development Committee.
If any of this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, I encourage you to reach out by email or phone.
As we look ahead, I’m excited to continue scheduling more Chamber events, recognizing milestones, and celebrating the businesses that make Hardy County thrive. If your business has something to celebrate, we’ve got plenty of ribbon and our scissors are sharp!
Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected Hardy County.
