MAIN STREET CLEAN & GREEN: FARMS WORK WONDERS YOUTH GIVING COMMITTEE LEADS WARDENSVILLE CLEANUP

WARDENSVILLE, WV– Farms Work Wonders and its Youth Giving Committee are rolling up their sleeves once again to bring a fresh spark to Wardensville with Main Street Clean & Green, a community-wide beautification event on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Building on the success of last year’s Earth Day Work Day, where the Youth Giving Committee partnered with community members to clean, beautify, and restore Wardensville Town Park, this year’s initiative shifts focus to Main Street—calling on residents, businesses, and volunteers of all ages to help refresh and revitalize the heart of town.

But this effort is about more than just picking up litter—it’s a celebration of community pride and a call to action for locals to take part in shaping the town’s future. Volunteers will work side by side to clear debris, spruce up shared spaces, and breathe new life into Main Street, creating a cleaner and more welcoming space for everyone.

The event was sparked by the Youth Giving Committee, a group of passionate young leaders eager to make a difference in their community. “As young people, we want to show that we care about Wardensville and take an active role in keeping it beautiful,” said Lilly Johnson, Vice President of the Youth Giving Committee.

“Seeing this idea come to life is exciting because it’s something everyone can be part of. We hope it inspires more community-driven projects in the future.” Interested in getting involved? Meet members of the Youth Giving Committee and fellow volunteers at the Town Hall Parking Lot at 9:00 AM to game plan the day. Then, join the cleanup efforts to help refresh Main Street! Main Street Clean & Green is made possible through the dedication of the Youth Giving Committee, Farms Work Wonders, and the Wardensville Town Council, along with local businesses and community partners who believe in the power of service and civic engagement.
