Linda Mae Lough, age 83 of Old Fields, WV, passed away Monday morning, February 17, 2025, at the Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV. Born on May 2, 1941, at Flats, Hardy County, WV, she was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel Leander Srout and Una Pauline Pratt Srout, and is now reunited with her cherished husband, Commodore “Ollie” Lough, who preceded her in death in January 2023. Linda also welcomed the arms of her five sisters and four brothers who left this world before her.

A true custodian of nature, Linda delighted in tending to her vibrant gardens filled with beautiful flowers, always attracting the joyful presence of hummingbirds. Her culinary talents were celebrated within her family, as she shared delicious meals crafted with love and creativity. Linda’s warmth, kindness, and zest for life created cherished memories for her family and friends.

Surviving is a son, Landon (Donna) Ketterman of Petersburg, WV; a daughter, Gail Ketterman of Ownings Mills, MD; sisters, Janet Brooks of Westminster, MD and Mona Miller of Moorefield, WV; brothers, Howard Srout and Doyle Srout of Old Fields, WV; a grandson; three great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Eugene.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street, where Pastor Dan Howard will officiate and guide us in reflecting on Linda’s beautiful journey. Following the service, we will lay her to rest at the Olivet Cemetery, where her spirit will continue to bloom among the flowers she loved. A public viewing will take place on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, inviting family and friends to gather and share in the cherished memories that she left behind.

The family invites all to join in this celebration of Linda’s life—her laughter, her love, and her unrivaled spirit will forever live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
