MOOREFIELD, WV — A full day of music, family fun and community celebration awaits at McCoy’s Grand’s second annual Fall Fest Open House on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featuring free concerts on two stages, artisans and crafters, museum visits, children’s activities, Broadway Bingo and a grand finale performance by The Fly Birds, the event invites everyone to explore McCoy’s Grand and enjoy a festive day on Main Street.

All concerts and scheduled activities are free. Food, beverages and vendor merchandise will be available for purchase, with opportunities to support the McCoy’s Grand Scholarship Fund through donations and a silent auction.

The music begins at 11 a.m. with Moorefield favorite Astoria on the mainstage. Throughout the day, audiences can enjoy Thorns & Roses, Keplinger Bluegrass, and Bob McDonald Sings Broadway and Beyond, featuring Broadway favorites, Sinatra and golden oldies. The Courtyard Stage will host performances by Rich Follett, Alexander Holmes, Caroline Auville and Jakob Rohrbaugh, offering folk music, guitar and unplugged performances in the Courtyard Plaza and Garden.

At 4 p.m., The Fly Birds, the acclaimed trio from Winchester, Virginia, will bring their distinctive sound to the mainstage for a free grand finale concert.

Families will find plenty to enjoy between performances. Visitors can help create a mural at Paint McCoy’s, make their own bookmarks at the WordPlay Connects Kids’ Bookmark Station, enjoy free face painting, and try Pick-A-Pop. Broadway Bingo at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. offers chances to win prizes, including McCoy’s Grand tickets.

The Cornhole Tournament begins at 12:30 p.m., with registration from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first through fourth place. Visitors can also register for hourly door prize drawings at the information stations in the theatre lobby and on the Fall Fest Plaza.

The McCoy-McMechen Museum will welcome visitors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering a look at the theatre’s history. Two free screenings of Between the Strings, a documentary about West Virginia’s Branch Mountain Bluegrass Festival, will take place in the Eunice McCoy Lounge at 1:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Community Educational Outreach Service representatives and Master Gardener Wanda Gerard will also be in the Courtyard Plaza throughout the day.

The Fall Fest Plaza, next to the McMechen House at Main and Winchester streets, will feature 24 artisan and crafter tents, community organizations and food vendors. Offerings include Heavenly Drips coffee and ice cream. Chicken dinners with two sides will be available at Duffey Memorial Methodist Church. Theatre lobby concessions and Betty’s Bar in the courtyard will offer additional refreshments, and PCB will provide a mobile ATM on the plaza.

A silent auction in the theatre lobby will feature art, jewelry, sports tickets, show tickets, a windchime and more, with proceeds supporting the McCoy’s Grand Scholarship Fund. Final bids are due by 4:30 p.m.

Fall Fest visitors can also take advantage of a one-day ticket sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the main lobby ticket booth. Tickets will be discounted by $2 for selected upcoming productions and concerts, including the 2026 Veterans Concert, Holiday Follies—The Christmas Jam, The Flashbacks, The Fly Birds, Grease, Clue and Always…Patsy Cline. Discounted tickets must be purchased in person during the event, and all sales are final.
