After hosting a similar event this past spring, on Saturday, September 12, Capon Springs & Farms golf course is having another opportunity for middle and high school students to learn, experience, and then watch top WV Highlandeer FlingGolfers compete in a Club Series match against the Keystone Crew from PA.
Capon Bridge Middle School AD Trevor Largent is providing classroom instruction for his students the week before the event. Moorefield and East Hardy High Schools are looking to send some of their freshmen to attend.
From 10 a.m. to noon, area young people can participate in a clinic and then use their new skills in a twosome tourney over 7 holes of the short par 3 course. Registration fee for $15 covers greens fees, clinic, and tourney prizes. For an additional $10, youth and their families can get a box lunch and then stay for the 1-5 p.m. pro match on the regulation course.
