Elkins, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins College President Chris A. Wood has announced the appointment of Kate Garlick as Vice President for Student Life. Garlick, who has served the College as Dean of Students since 2021, will take over Vice President for Student Life duties effective July 1.
Garlick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wheeling Jesuit University before obtaining a Master of Science in Services Management in Special Education from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. As Dean of Students at D&E, Garlick managed all aspects of residence life, health and wellness, judicial affairs, and student organizations, including Greek Life on campus.
