Rita Jeanne Kline of Moorefield, WV passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on December 29, 2025, at WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. She was the daughter of Lottie and Edgar Stump, born on March 14, 1950. She is survived by her husband Richard Kline of Moorefield, WV. She is also survived by two sons whom she loved very much. Richard Kline, II of Moorefield and Jonathan Kline and his spouse Michelle Kline and three grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Searra, Caiden, and Izzabella Kline of Morgantown, WV.
She is also survived by one sister Ramona Davis and late husband Harold Davis of Moorefield, WV, two brothers Joel Stump and his wife Sandra of South Fork, WV and Johnny Stump and his wife Mary of South Fork, WV. She is also survived by a number of extended family.
Rita was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many decades and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Baker, WV. Her service to Jehovah was of upmost importance to her. She found great joy in helping many people learn about Jehovah. If you knew Rita you knew that she had the sweetest, most loving brown eyes. She was a proud member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. She loved her dogs, yard saling, shopping, and music. She will be greatly missed by many friends who were family to her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her precious daughter-in-law Kelly Kline.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5103 US Hwy. 220 South, Moorefield, WV 26836 with Rick Self presiding.
