Evelyn Louise (Williams) Davis, age 84 of Fisher, WV passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at her home.
Louise was born on February 10, 1941 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Howard William Williams, Sr. and Evelyn Merle (Vetter) Williams. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Riley Davis in 2015; two brothers, Howard “Bill” Williams, Jr. and Harry T. “Sonny” Williams; one sister, Polly K. Ours.
Surviving Louise are her daughters, Pamela (Davis) Young (Lee) of Fisher, WV and Tammy George (Ronnie) of Moorefield, WV; five grandchildren, Michelle Shott (Jay), Jesse Mace (Meaghan), Madeline Estrella (Alex), Muryssa George (fiancé, Jeff Gwynn) and Dylan George and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Schell of Moorefield, WV and Nancy Barr (Allen) of Martinsburg, WV; one brother, Jimmy Williams of Columbia, Missouri, many nieces and nephews, special caregivers, Rose Miller, Amanda Mongold, Dayoni Elias, Melissa Escobar, Allyson Scheznider and Bonnie Hiser. Joy Adkins was a faithful employee of 31 years.
Louise graduated from Moorefield High School, attended Shepherd College and taught grade school at Peru, WV. Louise married Elwood Davis and they moved to Pittsburgh, PA. In 1974 they moved back home and opened Colt’s Restaurant in Moorefield, WV. Louise worked tirelessly to make her husband’s dream come true. She was known for her homemade specials and pies. Colt’s Restaurant celebrated their 50th year in November 2024. Louise’s passion was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Louise’s family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren with Pastor D. J. Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield, WV.
