Nina R. Combs Shoemaker Wilkins, 87, of Mathias, WV went to see the Lord on October 15, 2025.
Nina was born August 29, 1938 in Mathias to the late Harry and Edna Miller Combs.
She was a homemaker.
Nina was preceded in death by her first husband and her children’s loving father, Brook W. Shoemaker, who died on February 1, 1992; and also preceded in death by her second husband, Ray Wilkins.
Surviving are four children, Nina “Regina” Shoemaker Keeler and husband Willie, Shelby Shoemaker, Reginald “Reggie” Shoemaker and wife Diana, Michelle “DeeDee” Shoemaker; one brother, Lawrence Combs and wife Corina; two sisters, Maxine Combs Abrell; Rosetta Combs; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Nina was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Shoemaker; one son, Brook Shoemaker, Jr.; one granddaughter, Valerie Ann Shoemaker; four brothers, Hurl, Arley, Harry “Harlen” and Ricky Combs; six sisters, Evilee Combs Barb, Constance Combs Mongold, Lorene Combs Whetzel, Vivian Combs Teets, Margaret Combs Sandstrom, Juanita Combs Funkhouser Bilyard.
Pastor Dan Sterns will conduct a funeral service 2:00 PM Sunday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Bergton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway,
