Jacqueline D. “Jackie” Markley,

Jacqueline D. “Jackie” Markley, 93, of Winchester, VA, formerly of Wardensville, WV died on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Willows at Meadow Branch.

Jackie was born on December 19, 1931, in Mill Creek, WV, the daughter of the late William J. and Kathleen Parrack Markley. Jackie worked at the FBI in Washington, D.C. as an Administrative Assistant for 42 years and was a member of the Wardensville United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer. She enjoyed being outdoors walking where she participated in many 5k’s and other walking events. Most of all Jackie loved her family dearly and would do anything for them.

She is survived by her brothers: Preston C. Markley of Hanover, PA; Richard D. Markley of Winchester, VA; Charles L. Markley of Belington, WV; William “Tim” Markley of Wardensville, WV; and her sisters: Karen S. Karras of Ellicott City, MD; Muzine Derge of Pensacola, FL.

She is preceded in death by her siblings: Carson W. Markley; Jesse C.P. Markley; Lynda L. Welsh and Melaine Lindsay.

A graveside service will be held at Brink Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV, on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Arrangements are by Loy-Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory, Wardensville, WV.
