Madelyn Evans, Program Assis-tant I for Workforce Education at Eastern WVCTC

Moorefield, W.Va. — Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College has hired Madelyn Evans as the program assistant I for it’s Workforce Education department. Evans, a resident of Maysville, West Virginia, grew up in the area and has plans to raise a family there. She is currently engaged to her fiancé, Ian VanMeter. “We are getting married in September of 2026 and are in the process of building a home,” said Evans.

Evans experience ranges from working as a daycare teacher for Learning Tree Daycare Center to working at Burke & Herbert Bank as both a customer service teller and a relationship banker. “I learned so many useful things that I will continue to use throughout my career,” said Evans.

Outside of her career, Evans enjoys everything outdoors, including ATV riding, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with her family and close friends.

When asked what she has enjoyed about Eastern, she said, “I enjoy getting to know my coworkers and the friendly environment they create,” said Evans, “I am very excited to continue my career here at Eastern!”
