McCoy’s kicks-off Spring Concert Series with something for everyone: indie folk to piano rock

Hardy County may be in a deep freeze, but things are heating up at McCoy’s Grand.

Following the success of earlier concerts, including Caroline and The Evergreens and

December’s Sinatra Christmas show, the theater announced a line-up of seven concerts

as part of its new Spring Concert Series.

The series offers an eclectic line-up of musicians, some local, and some hailing from the

country music capital of Nashville.

“We wanted to put together an exciting array of artists for our spring concert series and

we did exactly that. Audiences will be thrilled with not only the talent but the variety of

performers we’re featuring. It’s an exciting season to kick off 2025,” said theater Board

of Directors President John Brennskag. “We have a lot more productions and events

planned for the year so every month residents can come to McCoy’s for arts and

entertainment.”

Tickets for all shows are $15.00 and are available at the McCoy’s Grand website along

with additional information on the artists and other events.

Brennskag added that there is also a special Spring Concert Pass available to purchase

for $75.00 that includes all six concerts for the price of five as well as reserved seating.

The Spring Concert Pass must be purchased by January 25 th .

The series runs from January 25 th to April 12 th and opens with local folk singer Rich

Follet.

JANUARY 25

RICH FOLLETT

Folk singer Rich Follet offers original compositions with insightful lyrics and inviting

melodies. A resident of Strasburg, Va., he’s been a featured performer at the Kennedy

Center, the White House Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, Nashville’s famed Bluebird

Café, the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.

FEBRUARY 8

JIMMY LEE

Jimmy Lee is an accomplished artist who covers three decades of music and multiple

genres.

FEBRUARY 22

BUTTERSCOTCH JUKEBOX

 

From the ‘60s through today, Butterscotch Jukebox offers music for every taste and

style.

MARCH 15

JOE CRITES

Petersburg resident Joe Crites brings county rock to McCoy’s. Rooted in traditional

country music, Crites offers covers along with his own originals.

APRIL 5

RAW COUNTRY

Also from Petersburg, Raw Fiddle will have folks line dancing in the aisles with their old-

time fiddle and classic county.

APRIL 12

JACOB TOLLIVER

Tolliver is a singer, songwriter, and pianist known for his energetic performances and

genre-blending musical style. Nashville-based Tolliver first gained widespread

recognition in the Las Vegas production of “Million Dollar Quartet,” and had the

opportunity to open for music legend Jerry Lee Lewis.
