Elmer Rodriguez Mundo, 30, of Harrisonburg, Va. was arrested this week for a series of burglaries in Rockingham and Hardy Counties. These crimes occurred at night on July 5 and 6 and include multiple break-ins at Baker and Mathias area businesses, including The Corner Mart, Capon Valley Bank, Dollar General, Misty Valley Hardware. After an intense investigation by Hardy County Sheriff’s Office, Harrisonburg Police Department, and Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, Mundo was identified, located, and arrested. He provided a full confession to Hardy County Deputies as well as to Harrisonburg Police Dept.
The Hardy County Sheriff’s Office states that they appreciate the help received from the community on this case.
