
Phyllis Jane Jeffers, age 69 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at her residence. Born November 4, 1956, in Parkersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward Murnahan and Barbara Leone (Allman) Murnahan. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Howard Leonard Jeffers in April 2025.
Phyllis lived a rich and vibrant life defined by her dedication to her family, her deep love for animals, her artistic talents, and her strong faith. Phyllis dedicated many years of hard work to the hatchery at Pilgrim’s Pride, where her diligence and care were evident to all. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of many passions. She was a horse lover through and through, harboring a deep affection and affinity for animals of every kind.
A truly gifted artist, Phyllis brought beauty into the world through her detailed and expressive pencil drawings. She was also a highly skilled seamstress, using her hands to craft and create. Her curiosity and love for discovery made her an avid traveler worldwide, always eager to explore new places and cultures. She found immense joy in sharing Bible truths with those around her, offering comfort, hope, and encouragement to everyone she met. Her warmth, creativity, and steadfast faith leave a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community.
Surviving are her three siblings; Timothy C. Murnahan, Christopher W. Murnahan, and Kelly A. Murnahan.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00PM, July 26, 2026 at the Moorefield Seventh-day Adventist Church, 504 Trough Road, Moorefield, WV with Pastor Dan Beavers officiant.
