Final exams at WVU are over, and as the academic year ends, the athletic year is also wrapping up. There are only four sports still active, and they are getting close to their postseasons.

One of those teams is the golf team, who made news by making the NCAA Regionals.

This is the third time the team has advanced to the postseason since the team restarted about 10 years ago. . The will be the 9 th seed in the Marana, Arizona region. When they made it to Championships, their regional was in New Mexico, and they were 10-seed. Could history repeat itself? Maybe – if they play like they did at Big 12, they will not advance. But if they have a good week (like WVU Invitational and a couple of others), they would be in contention. The top 5 teams in each region advance to NCAA Championships, which will be May 28-June 2, in Carlsbad, CA.

The baseball team is still in contention to host a regional, but will need a strong finish.

They were in Top 20 of national polls, but just outside the Top 20 in RPI. There are 16 regionals, so there is work to do. They wrap up the regular season wraps up with three home games vs TCU. (May 14-16, with scheduled start times of 6:30, 6:30, and 1:00). The Big 12 Tourney is May 19-23 (Tue-Sat). WVU in position for a double-bye, meaning their first game would be on Thursday, May 21. The bracket will be posted after all teams finish regular season this weekend.

Baseball is the last Big 12 Championship conducted during the year, and Outdoor Track & Field is next to last. WVU will travel to Tucson, AZ, to compete May 14-16. The team has seen multiple records and Top 10 all time school performances this season, and their goal will be to get as many people qualified for the NCAA East Regional meet which will be held May 26-30, in Lexington, KY.

Finally, the rowing team will wrap up their season with Big 12 Championships on May 17, down in Sarasota, FL.
