East Hardy Varsity Cougars were victorious against South Harrison Hawks 4-0 on Friday at South Harrison High School.
East Hardy Varsity Cougars got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after South Harrison Hawks committed an error, and Evan Hamilton walked, each scoring one run.
Gage Dove began the game for East Hardy Varsity Cougars. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking two. Maxwell stepped on the mound first for South Harrison Hawks. The hurler gave up one hit and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking six. Evan Hamilton appeared in relief for East Hardy Varsity Cougars.
Gage Dove and Shayne Sisler each collected one hit for East Hardy Varsity Cougars. Mason Wilkins, Dayton Dove, Evan Hamilton, and Owen Miller each drove in one run for East Hardy Varsity Cougars. Evan Hamilton led East Hardy Varsity Cougars with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game.
