ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
The Hardy County Board of Education, Moorefield, WV will receive bids at the Hardy County Board of Education at 510 Ashby St., Moorefield, WV, until 10:00 a.m., local prevailing time on February 4, 2026 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
SBA Project – Auxiliary Gymnasium Flooring Installation and Completion
Moorefield Elementary School
400 N. Main St, Moorefield, WV
The project consists of, but is not limited to, the installation and completion of flooring for the auxiliary gymnasium, including all associated labor, materials, preparation, finishes, and work required for full code compliance, in accordance with School Building Authority (SBA) requirement.
Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids in order for their Bid to be considered. Each Bidder’s registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal.
All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each Bidder’s Contractor license number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal.
A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Hardy County Board of Education, shall be submitted with each Bid.
Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and the fee for it shall be included in their bid.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for at least thirty (30) days.
The Board of Education of the County of Hardy, Moorefield, WV reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Fax Bids are unacceptable.
