Rosamond M. “Chungy” Moyers

Rosamond M. “Chungy” Moyers, 97, of Mathias, WV passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Born on December 7, 1927 in Pendleton Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Eye and Zella (Warner) Eye.
Rosamond grew up in the WV park system. She was a member of Garretts Chapel Church and the Mathias Ladies Auxiliary Fire Co. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John “Johnnie” M. Moyers, in 2016. They were married on July 5, 1946 and enjoyed their life together on the farm and raising their children.
She is preceded in death by her son, John Andrew Moyers and 2 brothers, Neufer Eye and Ishamel Eye.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela M. Hottinger (Eric) of Linville, VA and a grandson, John Andrew Moyers, Jr. (Faith) of Mathias, WV. Also by her many nieces and nephews and extended family as well as a special caregiver, Kathy White, and special neighbor, Larry Wilson.
Funeral services will be on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, WV at 2:00 P.M. with James Carr officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1-2 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Mathias Mennonite Cemetery.
