Jeanette Marie (Crites) Keplinger, age 90 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.
Born on May 19, 1936 in Dorcas, WV and daughter of the late Roy Edward Crites and Lucy Viola (Burgess) Crites. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph “June” Keplinger in 2011; three sons, Joseph Keplinger, Leslie Keplinger and Dennis Keplinger; six brothers, Roy Crites, Glenville Crites, Victor Crites, Leon Crites, Willis Crites and an infant brother; three sisters, Viola Miller, Mildred Troy and Mary Crites.
Jeanette attended Petersburg High School and was a Brethren by faith. She was a member of the Ladies North American Oriental Shrine.
Jeanette is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Donohue of Moorefield, WV and four grandchildren, James Keplinger and wife Sarah, Deanna Keplinger (Bill), Gary Keplinger and Emily Donohue-Heddings and husband Jay; six great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Arlene Keplinger and Donna Keplinger; one foster son, Brian Earhart and wife Patricia of Port Orange, Florida; two sisters, Emogene Hinkle of Mt. Storm, WV and Sudie Rinker of Purgitsville, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Jeanette’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 11 AM – 1 PM.
Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor Ricky Hoosier officiating.
Interment will be in the Baldwin Cemetery, Moorefield, WV.
