Betty Ann Dolly

June 30, 2026

Betty Ann Dolly, 82, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2026. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family.

Born on July 31, 1943, Betty was the daughter of the late Orie and Annie (Eye) Hardy. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, her beloved Aunt Margie See, and her dear friend Mary Crites. What a beautiful reunion it must be with the people she longed to see again.

Betty was married to the love of her life, Roger Dolly on February 1, 1963. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Their love, devotion, and commitment to one another were an inspiration to all who knew them.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Roger; her children, Robert & Terena Dolly, Mark & Christie Dolly, Lorie & Brent Newhouse, and Robin & Shannon Phares; and the light of her life, her grandchildren, Haley Dolly, Katlyn Dolly, Kaly Newhouse, and Ryan Grimm; and her great-grandchild, Hayes, whom she was blessed to meet before saying goodbye; along with her special cousins, Catherine Batman, David & Rita See (she looked forward to Dave’s daily visits).

Betty also leaves behind her precious dog, Gracie, who faithfully stayed by her side and comforted her until the very end.

Family meant everything to Betty. Her world revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, whom she loved dearly.

Betty enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, taking trips to Hobby Lobby to add to her collection of Highland cows, and spending peaceful moments on her porch watching the hummingbirds.

Betty’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered always. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord and reunited with those who went before her.

Betty’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, WV. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at 11:00 AM in the Dolly Cemetery, Rig, WV with Pastor Harold George officiating. Memories and words of comfort may be left at www.basagic.com or on Facebook at Basagic Funeral Home.
