The FlingForAll’s Pro-Am and National Doubles Championships return to Capon Springs on May 30th at Capon Springs Resort and Farms in Hampshire County.
On Saturday, May 16, at the Capon Springs resort, Moorefield High School students Alex Stewart and Jayden Moran, as well as the Athletic Director of Capon Bridge Middle School, Trevor Largent, joined the WV Highlandeers FlingGolf Club for a practice round in preparation for their participation in the 2026 Pro-Am to be held at the resort, May 30 starting at 9:30am.
Alex and Jayden played 9 holes each partnered with two national champions, Jeff Harvey and Jonathan Bellingham, both from WV. For their efforts, they earned special FlingGolf hats, which were signed by both top players.
This is the 3rd edition of this two-person tourney where beginners can play alongside and learn from some of the top pro FlingGolfers in the country.
While this year’s version emphasizes youth participation, it is open to all ages 13 and up. All equipment is provided and no experience is needed. Entry is $25/person paid in cash the day of the event. Sponsored by the Hampshire County based business, FlingForAll, there are both cash and FlingGolf prizes for the top three twosomes.
Area participants will be paired with a pro and play on the short course, where the holes are between 30-85 yds long. A WV documentary filmmaker will be recording the event as part of a project to elevate awareness for youth participation in outdoor recreation to improve their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
The Pro-Am tourney kicks off the 2nd Annual World League FlingGolf (WLF) National Doubles championship- a 2-day event with top players vying for one of the largest cash purses on the tour, thanks to event sponsor Lost Barrel Brewery.
