Elouise Goshert Garrett passed away peacefully on May 19th 2026, in Boise Idaho at the age of 90. For those who knew her, she was always vibrant and caring, and always “Mom” to anyone who came to visit her home.
Elouise was born in Winchester VA, in 1935 to Harry and Irene Goshert. She married Gilbert Garrett in 1956. They lived in Vienna VA from 1960 to 2006 when they moved to Idaho.
Elouise loved spending time with family and friends as well as cooking and crafting. She always had a pot of something on the stove. Everyone was invited to dinner at “mom’s” where everyone was family.
Elouise is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert and her son in law Bill Dahl. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Brenda Cavonis (Doug) Karen Praest (Doug) and Nancy Dahl. As well as her 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She will forever be loved, missed and remembered by all who knew her.
Elouise’s family will receive friends and family on Friday, May 19, 2026 at McKee funeral home in Baker WV. Funeral services will be held at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, WV on Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Russell Webster officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Methodist Church cemetery.
