Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets Roll Past Tucker County Varsity Mt Lions

Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets easily dispatched Tucker County Varsity Mt Lions on Saturday at 226 Spring Ave, 12-0.

Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tucker County Varsity Mt Lions committed an error, Annie Barr doubled down the right field line, and Annie Barr scored after tagging up, each scoring one run.

Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. Grace Simmons doubled, scoring one run, Brenna See singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Sara Baldwin doubled, scoring one run, and Raleigh Kuykendall doubled, scoring one run.

Anniston Kite earned the win for Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets. The southpaw surrendered three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Peyton Hicks took the loss for Tucker County Varsity Mt Lions. The righty went four innings, allowing 12 runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out four and walking none. Makayla Myers pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets in relief. The reliever gave up one hit, striking out one and walking none.

Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets tallied 10 hits in the game. Sara Baldwin, Raleigh Kuykendall, and Grace Simmons each collected two hits for Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets.
