Frankfort Varsity Lady Falcons defeated Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets 9-1 on Tuesday at 393 Falcon Way thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning.
An error put Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets on the board in the top of the third.
Frankfort Varsity Lady Falcons made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the third after Peyton Kimble homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Sydney Robosson scored after tagging up.
Frankfort Varsity Lady Falcons scored five runs on one hit in the bottom of the fourth inning. An error scored one run, an error scored one run, an error scored two runs, and an error scored one run.
Peyton Kimble earned the win for Frankfort Varsity Lady Falcons. The hurler gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out 10 and walking none. Annie Barr took the loss for Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets. The hurler went four innings, surrendering nine runs (two earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two.
Kiersten Rinker and Sara Baldwin were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets.
Peyton Kimble drove the middle of the lineup, leading Frankfort Varsity Lady Falcons with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Raygan Grogg, Jordan Marie Owens, and Liz Crowe each collected two hits for Frankfort Varsity Lady Falcons.
Moorefield Varsity Lady Jackets will travel to Lancaster for their next game on Monday.
