A brand new court with blue fencing shimmering down on the surface caused distraction and questions arose over the points, but there was no mistake as the Yellow Jackets swarmed to the victory over the Vikings.

The Hive blue vibe created joy, while the sandwich crew fed the energy.

Moorefield Boys and Girls Tennis teams each won by the scores of 6-1.

Moorefield Girls Doubles teams commenced the match with a complete sweep over Petersburg with top seed Natalie Rubenkonig and Grace Tayman won 8-4.

Moorefield Girls No. 2 Doubles partners of Emily Evans and Taylor Mulligan scored an 8-5 win over the Vikings.

Moorefield Girls No. 3 Doubles of Jaylin Anderson and Alayna Foley snatched an 8-2 win against Petersburg.

Moorefield’s top three singles were off the charts singing winning tunes.

Moorefield Girls No. 1 Singles Natalie Rubenkonig and No. 2 Grace Tayman each collected 8-4 victories over the Vikings.

The momentum continued as Yellow Jackets Girls Tennis No. 3 Singles Emily Evans notched an 8-5 win.

Petersburg Girls Tennis denied a total sweep as fourth seed Taylan VanMeter defeated Moorefield’s Anderson 8-2.

Moorefield Boys Tennis top seeded Doubles of Stewart Monroe and Preston Cosner earned an 8-5 win over the Vikings.

The Yellow Jackets Boys second and third seed doubles teams picked up forfeit wins over Petersburg – No. 2 Brycen Alley and Weston Eye; No. 3 Marcel Jager and Levi Williams.

Petersburg Boys top seeded singles Jesse Ockerman refused to allow a sweep with an 8-0 shutout over Moorefield’s Stewart Monroe.

The Yellow Jacketes returned to good fortune (no cookies) with No. 2 singles Preston Cosner grabbing an 8-1 victory and that was followed suit by No. 3 singles Brycen Alley collecting an 8-3 win.

Moorefield Boys Tennis No. 4 singles Weston Eye gathered a forfeit victory to usher in the Yellow Jackets team win 6-1.

Moorefield Tennis isn’t feeling blue and there’s no question about it as the Yellow Jackets prepare for more success this season.
