MILL CREEK — Third-seed Tygarts Valley cruised to a 60-16 win over No. 6 East Hardy Thursday night in Class A, Region II action on Weber-Wamsley Court.
The Lady Bulldogs will now travel to second-seed Pocahontas County at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a berth to the state tourney on the line.
The Lady Warriors defeated Union, 93-12, to advance
Top-seed Tucker County, meanwhile, will host No. 4 Pendleton County, which defeated Paw Paw, 43-33, the same evening in the other regional matchup.
Kailen Yokum had 12 points and Addie Riddle 11 for Tygarts Valley in the win over the Lady Cougars.
Adyson Crider had nine for East Hardy in the setback.
The Lady Bulldogs took control early, racing out to a 29-4 after one quarter as 10 players reached the scoring column for coach Adam Smith.
