Brenda “Kay” Strawderman, 71, of Wardensville, WV, died on Thursday, January 1, 2025, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Kay was born on July 17, 1954, in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Philip and Juanita V. Linaburg Ludwig. Kay worked at the Capon Springs Farms & Resort and attended both Willow Chapel UMC in Capon Springs and Faith Mission Church in Wardensville. She enjoyed calling and talking to friends on the phone, visiting, and spending time with family, especially her nephew Jason.
Kay married Earl S. Strawderman on November 11, 1972, in Capon Springs, WV. Earl died on June 1, 2021.
Surviving is a son: Todd S. Strawderman (Debbie) of Wardensville, WV; a brother: C. Michael Linaburg (Judith) of Capon Springs, WV; a sister: Betty L. Webster (Ross) of Capon Springs, WV; a granddaughter: Christy Funk (Johnny) of Kirby, WV; and two great-grandchildren: Sutton & Deckard.
A funeral service will be held at Loy-Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Oakley. Interment will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery, Wardensville, WV.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
