Phyllis Wilmetta Baughman Linaburg, 88, of Baughman Settlement, WV, passed away peacefully, and went to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at her home in the beloved Baughman Settlement surrounded by family.
Phyllis was born on May 9, 1937, to her parents Ralph and Rosetta Wilkins in Baughman Settlement, WV. The Settlement was so much more than just land that she loved, it was her home place. As a young girl she enjoyed her long walks throughout the trails and woods on the 50+ acres and was more than happy, she and her husband were able to move back to her beloved Settlement in 2000.
She met Edward (Jr.) Linaburg in Wardensville, WV in 1953 and they married on December 31, 1954.
She worked hard her whole life, first working for Nichols for over 25 years and then retiring in 2011 from Family Dollar after 17 years. In all that time, she never learned to drive, nor did she want to.
Phyllis was a loving, kind, and generous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. Her strength, love, patience, and warmth will be all the attributes greatly missed by those she knew and loved her.
Phyllis was proceeded in death by her loving parents Ralph and Rosetta Wilkins, husband Edward (Jr.) Linaburg of 59 years, two children Kenneth Scott and Debbie. One brother Vernon Wilkins, one grandchild Taylor Belford, one great grandchild Dillyn Gentry, son-in-law Carl Wright, and her beloved Uncle Gordon.
Phyllis is survived by her brothers Lorry and Paul, and her sister Karen. Four children, Christine (Buddy), Terri, Cheryl (Tony), and Linda (Eddy). Eight grandchildren; Jay (Chetty), Jamie (Tia), Jennifer (Garrett), Jonney (Julie), TJ, Brandon (Kristin), DJ (Dianna), Courtney (James). Nine great grandchildren; Tylar, Dante, Dylan, Rylan, Jenna, Aleigha, Kayla, Kylie, Rosalyn, Carmie, Jaxon, and Camden. Two great-great grandchildren, Lilly and Hope. Whom all loved her dearly.
All services will be private and handled by Loy-Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Wardensville, WV.
