
Moorefield High School alumna Korbin Keplinger joined the Potomac State College of WVU Women’s Soccer team as a walk-on and has become an asset to the Catamounts. The Yellow Jackets started their inaugural season after Keplinger graduated, so this is a novice sport to help maintain shape for basketball. Moorefield Girls Soccer (4-7) lost to Berkeley Springs 7-0 and defeated WV School for the Deaf and Blind 11-5 to finish the regular season and travels to Berkeley Springs for the playoffs tonight. Moorefield Boys Soccer (3-9-1) beat the Indians 6-1, then fell to Lewis County 9-1 and Notre Dame 3-2 to conclude the regular season. Moorefield Boys hosted Berkeley Springs in Petersburg for the playoffs. The Yellow Jackets’ goals against the Indians in the previous match were made by Javier Acosta (2), Alex Perez (2), Eduardo Escobar and Bereket Tamiru.
