Gerald Webster Myers, age 73, of Old Fields, WV, passed away Saturday evening, September 13, 2025, at J W Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on October 7, 1951, in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Isaac Walter Myers, Jr. and Ethel Gertrude Crites Myers. A brother, Larry Myers preceded him in death.

Gerald devoted more than 55 years of his life to working as a crane operator and driver at Orndorff & Spade Roofing Contractors. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.  Although he enjoyed the thrill of his profession, he also had a love for hunting and car racing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he truly adored.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Margaret Simon Myers, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years; two sons, Gerald “Jake” & Cindy Myers and Danny Myers of Old Fields, WV; and cherished every moment spent with his three grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, and Chayse, as well as his three great-grandchildren, Lilah, Layla, and Laina. Also surviving is a brother, Mackie (Sharon) Myers of Moorefield, WV and two sisters, Carol Rexroad of Newville, PA and Shirley Fisher of Moorefield, WV.

A service to honor Gerald’s life will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel located at 107 Washington Street. Pastor D.J. Taylor will lead a joyful service, celebrating the vibrant spirit of a man who brought laughter and love into the lives of those around him. Following the service, we will lay him to rest at Bethel Cemetery in Old Fields, WV.

Friends and family are invited to gather and share their stories on Thursday evening, September 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Let’s come together to remember Gerald, share laughter, and uplift one another as we celebrate a life well-lived.

For those wishing to express their condolences, share memories, or upload photos in honor of Gerald’s extraordinary life, please visit his Tribute Wall at www.fraleyfuneralhome.com. Let’s cherish the impact he made on our lives together.
