Peggy Ann Riggleman, age 86 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, August 4, 2025, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on July 1, 1939, in Wardensville, WV, she was a beloved daughter of the late Walter Henry Webster and Elizabeth Belle Miller Webster. Her husband Oliver F. “Bud” Riggleman preceded her in death in August 2005. Her siblings, Winfred Webster, Charles Webster, Polly Tusing, Mattie Tusing and Judy Armstrong also preceded her in death.

Peggy, a proud graduate of the Moorefield High School Class of 1957, was a vibrant and active member of her community, deeply involved as a lifelong member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. She took great joy in her family and her treasured grandchildren, creating cherished memories during the annual family reunions. Let’s not forget her famous pineapple coring at the Walmart Bakery, where she earned the endearing nickname “Pineapple Peg”!

Beyond her work, for others and then her husband, Peggy was known for her baking, sewing, and gardening, brightening her home with flowers that reflected her vibrant spirit. With her many cats and dogs over the years, she always made room for furry companions, inviting their warmth into her life.

Surviving are two sons, Gregory A. & Karen Riggleman and James E. & Kathy Riggleman of Moorefield, WV; five grandchildren, Nicole & Craig Kelly, Jackie Riggleman, Logan & Paige Riggleman, Ashley & Hunter Whetzel and Kooper Riggleman; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren, 115 Clay Street, Moorefield, WV, with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiants. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. We invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of Peggy’s extraordinary life as the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Moorefield Church of the Brethren.

In honor of Peggy’s charitable spirit, we encourage memorial contributions to the Hardy County Senior Center (Meals), 409 Spring Avenue, Moorefield, WV 26836 or the Moorefield Church of the Brethren, 115 Clay Street, Moorefield, WV 26836.
