Recently there was a picture on Facebook of the Valley View Golf Course taken from the 8th tee showing some of its beauty. We are very fortunate and blessed to have this beautiful golf course in our valley. It did not just happen.. It was foresight and much effort on the part of many people, initially, followed over the years by lots of hard work performed by employees and volunteers to get it to this point. I have never seen the course in better condition, thanks to the current employees and many volunteers.
As you drive by at night, you see the beautiful lighted flags honoring our USA and brave service people that serve our country. We owe special thanks to Gary Minnick and the Petersburg VFW for providing flags. Also, special thanks to Earl Snyder for his efforts and determination to see that the flags and lights were installed again. I am certain that others contributed a helping hand or maybe donated flags. To those of you who may have helped or donated, please accept our apology for not knowing your names and involvement.
