Hamilton Has Lots Of Hits But East Hardy Varsity Cougars Fall To Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity

Evan Hamilton collected three hits in four at bats, but East Hardy Varsity Cougars lost to Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity 19-11 on Tuesday at 238 Cougar Drive. Evan Hamilton doubled in the fifth inning, doubled in the third inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

East Hardy Varsity Cougars collected 10 hits and Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Austin Teter singled, scoring one run, and Jacob Wamsley doubled, scoring two runs.

Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity added one run in the second. Austin Wilson scored after tagging up, making the score 4-1.

A triple by Austin Gear extended the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity lead to 6-1 in the top of the third inning.

East Hardy Varsity Cougars flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on four hits to take the lead, 9-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Jordan Teets that drove in two.

Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a double by Austin Teter, a hit by a pitch, and a walk by Austin Wilson.

Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity jumped back into the lead in the top of the eighth inning after Austin Wilson singled down the left field line, Kendall Armstrong walked, Adam Woods walked, Kaden Moore singled down the right field line, Austin Teter walked, Jacob Wamsley singled down the left field line, Ian Harris walked, and Austin Gear walked, each scoring one run.

Jordan Teets started the game for East Hardy Varsity Cougars. The pitcher surrendered five hits and eight runs (three earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking three. Ian Harris began the game for Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and five runs (four earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking two.

East Hardy Varsity Cougars tallied 10 hits in the game. Levi Price, Jordan Teets, Patrick Mills, and Shayne Sisler each drove in two runs for East Hardy Varsity Cougars. Evan Hamilton stole three bases. East Hardy Varsity Cougars stole four bases in the game. East Hardy Varsity Cougars turned one double play in the game.

Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity collected 11 hits in the game. Austin Gear led Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Kaden Moore, Austin Teter, Jacob Wamsley, and Austin Gear each collected two hits for Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity. Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity had patience at the plate, accumulating 11 walks for the game. Kaden Moore and Austin Wilson led the team with two bases on balls each. Tygarts Valley Bulldogs Varsity turned one double play in the game.
