Ashley Nicole Turner and Ronald “Ross” Sherman, III joined together in marriage on June 14, 2014, in front of family and friends at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Petersburg. The bride is the daughter of Rodney and Malinda Turner of Petersburg and the granddaughter of Linda and Randall Turner of Petersburg and Barbara and Wayne Harris of New Creek. The groom is the son of Stacey Martin and Ronald Sherman, Jr. of Moorefield, and step son of Brent Bobo of Estero, FL. He is the grandson of Joan Comstock, Ronald Sherman, Sr. and Shirley Sherman of Moorefield and the late Mervin Warren Conners .
[private] The marriage was officiated by Pastor Gary Phillips. The pianist was Cindy Sites and the soloist was Erica Hargreaves. The bridal party included maid of honor, Andrea Martin, and bridesmaids, Courtney Hesse, Kasey Bertha, Danielle Ketterman Raines, Carrie Goldizen, and Taylor Hamilton. The junior bridesmaid was Marley Kesner and the flower girl was Mylin Ours. The best man was Kellan Snyder and the groomsmen were Tanner Burns, Lucas Myers, Josh Baker, Jimmy Fields, Ryan Weese and honorary groomsman, the late Joseph Kyle Helmick. The ring bearer was the groom’s dog, Melo. The wedding planner/coordinator was Ashley Anderson of Kaposy’s in Petersburg. The photographer was Grace Photography by Britani Edwards of Lost Creek, WV. The wedding reception was catered by Gourmet Delights of Petersburg and was held following the ceremony at Valley View Golf Course in Moorefield. The bride and groom enjoyed a honeymoon in Aruba.
The bride is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Nursing and is a registered nurse at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. The groom is a graduate of Marshall University and is a probation officer with Monongalia County in Morgantown. They reside in Morgantown with their dog, Melo.
