Susan Frances Heishman Delawder, 68, of Timberville, Va. died on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, Va.
Susan was born on February 25, 1949 in Winchester, Va., a daughter of the late Lomand E. and Leona F. Rinard Heishman. She along with her husband were the former owners of the Mountaineer Restaurant in Wardensville, they worked together in the poultry business in Mathias and years ago she worked as a waitress for the White Star Restaurant also in Wardensville. Susan had a love of cooking, fishing & most of all being with her grandchildren.
Susan married Arno C. Delawder on May 15, 1978 in Winchester, Va.
Surviving along with her husband of 39 years are two sons: Duane O. Orndorff of Front Royal, Va.; Jody R. Joe Orndorff and his wife LaCindy of Wardensville, W.Va.; a daughter: Brandi S. Keller of Timberville, Va.: a sister: Shirley Brill of Wardensville, W.Va.; and three grandchildren: Dallas O. Orndorff, Randi A. Keller and Bryce M. Keller.
She is preceded in death by a brother Roger Heishman and two sisters: Wanda Brill and Mary Orndorff.
A celebration of Susans life was held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home. Officiating was Pastor Ted Hott. Inurnment will be privately held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Devine Fellowship Church, 505 N Willow St, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
